    This webinar is part of the webinar series called the Business of Arboriculture presented by the Georgia Arborist Association, the University of Georgia Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, and Auburn University with generous support from the United States Forest Service. The series will be presented between October 2024 and June 2025.

    Join us on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 1 PM to 2 PM for another FREE virtual learning opportunity. The topic is Taxes and Business Set Up with Patrick Larsen. 1 ISA CEU Applied For. 

    This presentation will be on starting a tree care business. It will dive into managing expectations and growth, identifying business management methods that work for each business. Determining tax requirements and exploring options to meet each business level of capability.

    Patrick Larsen is the Vegetation and Utility Inspection Manager at Inland Power and Light in Eastern Washington and a small business owner. He co-founded H&L Tree Works, a private tree care and logging company, in 2014, managing its business operations while his partner oversees daily fieldwork. He also runs businesses in property management and vacation rentals. With over 15 years in the utility and arboriculture industry, Patrick is a Northwest Lineman College graduate, holds a UVM Fundamentals Certificate from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, and completed the Harvard Business CORE Program. His expertise spans vegetation management, business operations, and utility safety.
